Highlight was Megan at 1847 - entertaining and informative. Lunch at Kies winery was delicious. Safe driver Paul with a repertoire of Dad jokes. Good value day tour!

Wouldn't go again or recommend. Tour guide was confused with the way I looked Asian and had no accent... ignorance... I have no issue with that but talking about it with the rest of the tour group prior to me getting in the bus... professionalism.

The worst women I have every had on my bus … you were ignorant to my compliment of how well spoken you were .. I told everyone before we picked you up that you were going to be great fun on the bus .. how wrong was iI !

Peter was a legend of a tour guide. I highly recommend adding in Chateau Dorion if you have the option. It is a cherry on top of a great day of wine tasting

Basking in the Barossa

Our tour driver Peter was friendly, courteous & well informed. Lucky enough to have Paul from Kersbrook Hill for our tastings. All the staff from each vineyard were friendly, accommodating and generous with their time and stories about the wines, tawnys and meads that were tasted on the day. The stop at Maggie’s farm was a great opportunity to see where her magic happens and take a stroll through the olive trees and get close to the pheasants & ducks. I love Maggie! The weather was gorgeous too :)

Not as Expected ...

The trip was average. I was not familiar with any of the wines produced at the Wineries we visited. The lunch was not great. We had to share space with 2 other groups at one winery. The Maggie Beer Farm visit was a huge disappointment. They were actually closed due to staff shortages but the Tour Company never books or confirms visits. They opened the door for us briefly to buy merchandise. It was supposed to be the highlight of the tour for me. If I had been advised I would have cancelled and maybe gone another time.

Hello Noeline Thanks for your great review 1/ there is a 152 cellars in the barossa You would not of heard of more than 4 of them .. I’m so happy we showed you some wineries that you did not know existed.. 2/ really there was other people in the winery at the same ?? My god how bad is that ?? 3/ Maggie’s a disappointment?? I agree how hard would it be to let us know 2 days in advance that on the Wednesday they would in visage a staff shortage and could send tour operators a text message so as we could cancel our future bookings with people that came on our tour to only see the pheasant farm ??? The answer would have been the same if we tried to book ?? “ oh sorry I think we will have staff shortages on Wednesday so we can’t take your booking “ 4/ out of the twelve people on the bus you were the only one who didn’t like the food .. yes I rang them all to ask I guess we can’t please everyone I’m going to have to stop trying Paul BUMSONSEATS tours

A few treasures in the Barossa
Sharon_S

Cimicky- outstanding to have Andrew (wine maker) talk through the process and wine tasting their range - the Blackmoor range is sublime Maggie Beer / outstanding as y try I be expected Chateau Dorrien a finishing delight- excellent taste testing very knowledgeable staff. Sorry but lunch was a fairly miserable experience, given the quality that is available in the Barossa. Sam the driver was delightful. Overall less stops would provide a more memorable and meaningful experience.
