Departure Time

7:30 AM
Depart your central Cairns or Northern Beaches hotel by air-conditioned bus and venture into rural North Queensland. Composed of highlands, tropical rainforests, and waterfalls, this pristine region is renowned for its beauty and ancient culture.

Visit the Babinda Boulders, a tropical creek lined with huge boulders, and hear about the aboriginal legends that surround this magical-looking place. Then head to your first swim spot, Josephine Falls, and slide down the natural rock slide.

Continue to the Atherton Tablelands and swim in the Millaa Millaa Falls. Bordered by protected rainforest, this 59-foot (18-meter) single-drop waterfall has featured in several TV ads.

After a country-style lunch at Australia’s largest timber pub, continue to Mt. Hypipamee Crater, a pipe-shaped, 278-foot (85-meter) deep crater. Take a bushland walk to admire the crater lake, watch for wildlife like possum and emu-like cassowarys, and stop to bathe in the idyllic Dinner Falls.

After visiting a creek to search for platypus, enjoy another swim and a sunset stop at Lake Eacham, famous for its turtles.

Finally, return to Cairns, perhaps playing the provided games on your bus before your trip ends at the original starting point.

Fabulous tour, wish we had more swimming time!

Great tour. Our tour guide Jordan was amazing. We loved the aboriginal stories he told us for each of the stops! The cascades were amazing & swimming at Eacham lake (with a croc) was something we‘ll never forget! Time at each stop was a bit short, I would recommend to leave the Babinda boulders and Curtain Figtree off the itinerary. Whilst it was good to see, we would have preferred more swimming time at the other stops. All in all a fabulous tour, with a fabulous guide and would definitely recommend!

Racist and inappropriate tour guide!
Divya_E
, Dec 2021
The tour guide Jim was the worst! He made racist and inappropriate jokes throughout the tour! He was pathetic to say the least! He was making inappropriate jokes with myself and the other girls on tour! He was least concerned about showing us all around, but rather enjoying himself wherever we stopped! He was rude to so many of the passengers. A lot of the passengers were annoyed with his behaviour! We will never recommend this tour solely because of the tour guide. Please change the guide and have someone who’s decent.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the disappointing experience you had on your tour! Jim has been guiding with us for 8 years and consistently receives 5 star reviews so we're very surprised to read your feedback as this is very out of character for him! We will definitely follow this up with him but please feel free to contact our owner if you would like to discuss this in person. Once our again, our sincere apologies.
