This activity will end right where it started.Hotel pick-up commences 5mins after the weather check for your flight.
You're picked up at your hotel in Queenstown at your selected departure time, or you can opt to self-drive to the hangar. On arrival, you are checked in and provided with a window seat aboard the aircraft. Then settle in for a scenic flight to Milford Sound.

The route takes you over the magnificent landscapes of Fiordland National Park, with majestic views of mountain lakes and waterfalls. Listen to your pilot's narration before landing and swapping your plane for a cruise boat to explore Milford Sound. Spend ample time covering the length of the fiord, from Mitre Peak to the Tasman Sea. A picnic lunch is available for purchase before you board the boat.

Upon completion of the cruise, you are flown back to Queenstown on a different flight path along the Southern Alps. When you reach Queenstown you are transferred back to your accommodation.

You will partake in a weather check an hour before the departure flight time. Flights are subject to weather conditions, if the weather is suitable you will be picked up from your hotel approximately 5-minutes after the call. You can opt to self-drive to the hangar as well if you’d like. Once checked in at the office you will depart on one of the aircrafts where everyone gets a window seat. The flight is a 40-minute scenic flight with majestic views of the mountains, lakes and fiords of the Fiordland National Park.

Awesome, breathtaking flight through the mountains to see glaciers and the view below. Then a peaceful cruise up the fiord you the open sea to experience a few swells. A sunny day, there were multiple waterfalls. Both pilot and captain gave running commentary full of interesting facts. If you can possibly afford this, do it!

If you never flew a small plane like this Cessna 208B, you have to know that flying in the mountains is an adrenaline experience as well. But it is definitely worths it! The mountains are magnificent, and Milford Sound is miraculous. The service is very well organized, the personal is friendly and supportive. Highly recommended experience!

What a great trip. Scary but great. Have never been on a small plane before (probably never again) and whilst i didnt feel great as suffering from a cold am so glad i did it.To be so close to such scenery was fantastic and so much better than a long bus ride. Cruise was great..actually saw a penguin.Would recommend. Weather is always an issue but we were blessed with a lovely sunny day

Good transportation. Excellent flight. We had a nice clear day, no turbulence. There was a short bus ride from the little landing strip at Milford Sound to the boat. We're 65 and 66 and we're not complaining about having to stand but some people may not have liked that.The box lunch was big but not exceptional, sandwich, apple, chips, beverage, sweet. The falls were really running as it had been raining for several weeks. Since we have seen the Rockies and the Alps, I'd rate the southern alps of mainland NZ as better than okay but not a must see. Best part was seeing all the people on the lower deck crowd in the get waterfall, the captain pulled in very, very close, People got soaked.
